Welcome....

Welcome to the world

NOAH HARLEY

Noah is the fourth son of my friend K. He was born yesterday afternoon weighing in at 7lb 13oz. Boo and I went to visit him this afternoon...and oh man...after cuddling him for an hour I could have easily packed him up and brought him home.

It's All Over Bar The Shouting

The tiler just has to come back tomorrow to silicone around the edges. The plumbers will come a fit the taps, and I will get in contact with the glass people to come measure up for the shower door and half wall. Oh and I need to do some painting.

Scrappy Goodness To Share

I did a lot of double up scrapping this weekend....shhhhh....don't tell anyone. LOL
All these layouts were done for the Chooksraps CC as well as for other competitions.

This one was for the sketch challenge at Chookscraps, but it also fit this months sketch challenge at EMM and for the first round of the Scrap Therapy Masters.

This layout was done for the first challenge at Chookscraps and for the second round of Scrap Therapy Masters....
And this last layout was challenge 2 at Chookscraps and this rounds entry to Scrap Idol at my LSS.

I Wonder If This Shirt Will Cut It?

On Friday I got my new work shirts. We can order whatever shirts we like in any colours...and if I have to wear a uniform...I at least want it to be fun. So I ordered a rainbow of my favourites colours this time round.
Yesterday I wore that lovely green one there. An as I was helping L...he looked at me and said "Why are you wearing that shirt?" My answer was that it was new and my favourite colour. He shot back with "I only like it when you wear your red shirts"
Now I am not a huge fan of my red shirts, but he obviously is. I wonder how he's going to react to the lovely orange one I have on today? LOL

Quick Question

Is it just me or does anyone else find this pic a little disturbing?

What the hell is Roboraptor doing wearing a crucifix and flipping the peace sign?

**I found this little scene in Boos room last night!

Today I Entered The Twlight Zone....

and I am not sure if I should be running scared or dancing with joy. Today for the first time this year, both my boys were incredibly focused and on task. They completed their work with the minimum of fuss and guidance. They were compliant and willing to talk through their ideas.

This rarely happens....maybe sometimes one will be like this and the other will be prickly....but never at the same time.

All day I kept thinking "Who the hell are these boys and where are the ones I am usually tearing my hair out over???"

Not holding my breath that they will keep this up though. LOL

Happy Birthday Dad!

Dear Dad,

To father a child does not automatically make you a dad. A dad is someone that is always there for you, even when you are wrong. Someone who continues to love and support you, even when you fail. Someone who guides and protects you through all of your days. If you never do another thing, I want to thank you for all that you have done, all that you have taught me and all that you are.

You taught me to love by loving me, you taught me to care by caring for me and you taught me strenght by sticking by me when I needed your support. And although I have long left home, you continue to show me these things.

I love you Dad and I wish you all the best for this birthday.

Love xx

Work In Progress...

This is what our bathroom currently looks. The plumbers have finished for now and the tiler will start this afternoon. I can't wait to see the tiles on...

The Best Night Ever....by guest blogger Cowgirl Lolly

On Sunday afternoon, Mum told me that we were going to a shoe and jewellery party. Instead we went to the Gatton Leagues Club to see Daisy May, Tom Curtain, Col Finley and the Sunny Cowgirls in the New Stars Of Country Tour.

We got there early and got the best seats in the house right in front of the stage! This is me standing in front of the stage....

First up was Daisy May. She played the guitar and sang some songs of her brand new album.

Then came Tom Curtain. He sang a funny song called Go Goanna Go it was about a dude who jumped off his horse to catch a goanna to eat.

After Tom, Col Finley came on stage. He was singing a song called "The Gambler" when he stopped and asked for five people to come and sing with him. Col's manager chose me even though I didn't know the song. I was very nervous but Col told me that he would help me. Everyone in the audience helped me too. We all won a prize of a poster and a can holder.
Next up was the Sunny Cowgirls. They saved the best for last! Before they went on stage I got to meet them. Sophie signed my hat and I chatted with Celeste for a while. I was so excited that they knew my name. I had my picture taken with them too.

After everyone had sung and it was time to go home I yelled out "Bye Sophie and Celeste" and they said "Bye Lauren."

This was the best night ever!

Coming Soon....

The Zoo is going to have a guest blogger. The one....the only....

Check tomorrow for a blog from Cowgirl Lolly about what she got up to yesterday!

Going....Going....Gone

This is what we spent all day Saturday doing....ripping out our old bathroom. The plumber starts today putting a new one back in. Stay tuned for updates over the next week!

What The Hell Is This Wet Stuff?

Yesterday it tried very hard to rain here....we had lots of misty stuff but nothing to seriously wet the ground. It did make for some great photos though.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Mum,

For all the times you gently picked me up when I fell down, for all the times you traded me a warm smile for a frown, for all the times you tied my shoe and tucked me into bed, or needed something for yourself but put me first instead...For everything we've shared -the dreams, the laughter and the tears...I love you with a special love that deepens through the years.

It's The Little Things....Little Things....

That make life such a big deal. Be it a tiny little snail...

A small purple flower.....

Eyes as blue as the heavens themselves.....

Or a hundred tiny sun kisses on a beautiful face....It's the little things that make life such a big deal.

*My apologies to Timbuk 3 for messing with their lyrics.

Future Stars of Wimbeldon....

and one past master? I think not!! Late Monday afternoon Crockett took the girls down to the schools tennis courts for a hit. Given that none of them can really play but that they all think they can....I got a few laughs...and a ton of photos.

These are some of my favourites....

Sometimes it's through the lens of the camera that I realise just how my girls are changing...growing more and more beautiful each day....
Especially this girl....she's just had another growth spurt and grown about 1/2 an inch in the past month! She has left Boo behind now and Boo actually has to look up at her!
